FAQs

A: Your shoot includes 3 free friends or the immediate family for each person at the final shoot location. If you would like to bring more people to the final location, there is an additional charge of $50 and keep in mind that this may take time away from our other locations especially during group sessions.

A: Yes! You can tell me if you would like me to focus more on group or individual photos at the beginning of your shoot.

A: No. I take many more photos than I deliver in order to make sure only the best photos are sent to my clients.

A: No. Photographers almost never deliver RAW files to their clients in order to make sure only our best work is public. You can however purchase the RAW files from your shoot for $100.

A: I generally have a list of spots that we will go to in order to take advantage of the best light and scenery. You are welcome to send me location ideas as long as they are within / close to campus. I will let you know if they are possible based on walking time, lighting conditions, and logistics. Feel free to check out my Berkeley Grad Photo Location Guide for some ideas!

A: Final images will be sent to you approximately 2 weeks after your shoot day. For shorter shoots it is often faster (~1 week). During peak season (mid April - May), the turnaround time may be slightly longer but as long as your shoot is at least 2 weeks before graduation you will receive your photos by graduation.

A: Feel free to dress however you want. Most people will wear a dress, white button down, or suit with a stole to show their school and class year. You can also bring your cap and gown if you would like to take some photos with those and do a cap toss. Champagne, confetti (only biodegradable), and flower petals also make for great photos.

A: I mainly shoot at UC Berkeley but I can also come to any schools in the bay area. If you are just outside the bay area (UCSC), message me and I will try to make it work.

A: You don’t need to be a trained model to take grad photos! Just relax and make yourself comfortable then I can help guide you through some of the most common grad poses. If you want some ideas, take a look at my gallery to see what others have done.

A: Yes, absolutely! This will count as one of your free additional friends/family and you can bring your pet to the final shoot location. Any kind of pet is allowed so long as they are allowed to be at the location.
